Bedroom Tax punishes children

As we’ve already identified here on Bed’s Mens Forum when it comes to single fathers who for whatever reason find themselves on low incomes they get a double whammy of no helping hand to ensure they stay in their children’s lives, punishing the children. The EDM 34 has clearly documented the discrimination and how local authorities go along with this discrimination despite pretending to be equality champions.

The Fatherhood Institute is calling on the government to make separated fathers exempt from the bedroom tax and take other steps to ‘draw in’ and support disadvantaged dads – who are more likely to lose contact with their children if they separate from the mother, according to new research.
